Space Needle, Seattle

The Space Needle is the tallest observation tower in Washington, soaring to a height of 605 feet in Seattle Center.

The Space Needle is the tallest observation tower in Washington, soaring to a height of 605 feet in Seattle Center. Once the tallest structure west of the Mississippi River when it was built for the 1962 World's Fair, the iconic structure is one of the most recognized landmarks in the Pacific Northwest. The Observation Deck at a height of 520 feet offers breathtaking panoramic views over the city and Elliott Bay, extending all the way up to the Olympic Mountains in the west, and the Cascade Mountains in the east with its snow-capped peaks of Mount Rainier and Mount Baker standing out in the distance. The 41 second elevator ride to the top also offers great views of the skyline. Upgrade your experience with a meal at the SkyCity revolving restaurant on top which completes a complete round in 47 minutes. Day and night admission tickets allow you to visit once during day and once during night, at a higher price.
