Augusta Raurica is an archaeological site on the banks of the Rhine with ruins of a Roman settlement that dates back to the 1st century BC. Major structures found during excavations include the amphitheatre, forum and aqueduct. The Romermuseum houses the smaller finds from the site, including the collection of 270 silver treasures of Kaiseraugst.
