The Museum of Contemporary Art displays a good collection of over 800 modern Thai paintings and sculpture.

The Museum of Contemporary Art displays a good collection of over 800 modern Thai paintings and sculpture. The permanent collection is spread over 4 floors, and the temporary exhibition is displayed on the ground floor. The epic Khun Chang – Khun Phaen Collection by Hem Vejakorn depicting scenes from the poem can be seen on the third floor. The fourth floor has a collection of over 100 paintings by eminent Thai artist Thawan Duchanee. Also on the floor is the 7-metre tall ‘Three Kingdoms’ triptych depicting Buddhist Heaven, Earth and Hell in detail. The fifth floor showcases works by international artists, with a special wing ‘Richard Green Room’ dedicated to European painters from the Victorian era.
