Kamiros lies on the north-west coast of Rhodes, with the ruins of an ancient city built on 3 levels on the slope of a hill as per the Hippodamian system. On the peak is the acropolis with the temple complex of Athena and the Stoa, while the main settlement lived on the middle level. The lowest level has the ruins of a Doric temple, a Fountain House, Agora, and Peribolos of the Altars.
