On display are varied works from Egypt, Nubia, Greece, Rome, Etruria, ancient America, Near East and Asia. , etc. The treasure trove of cultural artifacts include the statues of Egyptian lion-headed goddess Sekhmet, the Walters’ Mummy, alabaster reliefs from the palace of Ashurnasirpal II, Greek jewelry, Roman masks, Roman bronze banquet couch, a marble sarcophagus, stucco Mayan head, Japanese weapons, Chinese and Japanese porcelain, laquer and metal work, Cambodian statue of the bronze Avalokiteshvara, T’ang and Ming dynasty art work, to name a few.
