The Philadelphia Museum of Art houses one of the largest collections of art in the USA, with its collection of 227,000 objects spanning Renaissance paintings, Asian and medieval art from the 3rd millenium BCE, Impressionist and Modern paintings, and furniture. Highlights of the collection are many, they include Van Gogh's Vase with Twelve Sunflowers, Monet's Poplars as well as his Japanese Bridge and Water Lilies, Rubens' Prometheus Bound, and Turner's The Burning of the Houses of Lords and Commons.

Well identified in popular culture from its facade for the 72 stone steps seen in the movies Rocky I, II, III, V and Balboa, there is a statue of Rocky at the bottom of the steps which is popular spot for selfies. Located on a hill overlooking the Schuylkill River at the end of The Ben Franklin Parkway, you can get great views towards City Hall from the top of the Rocky steps.
