The quirky Britannia Manor was the residence of game designer Richard Garriott. The 4800-square foot estate is named after the castle of Lord British, ruler of Britannia in the Ultima game series created by Garriott. Heavily influenced by medieval themes, it has secret passages, high ceilings, traps, dungeon in the basement with mummies, steep stairways, and rooms furnished with items such as crossbows, swords, and armour. It also has a science room with antiques, and an observatory on the roof.
