The Moody Museum is dedicated to Texas' youngest governor Dan Moody, who as District Attorney General was the first to successfully prosecute a case against the Ku Klux Klan. The first floor of the museum retains its original look from when the Moody family lived there, complete with original furnishings, including an 1810 quilt and 1860 bed from Tennessee in the bedroom where Dan and his sister Mary were born. The second floor has exhibits chronicling the life of the governor and his family, as well as other prominent people and events in Taylor history.
