Hop On Hop Off Tours, Auckland

New Zealand's largest city, Auckland stretches scenically around a range of inlets and bays along the Pacific. A hop-on hop-off tour is a convenient way to explore the major attractions of the sprawling city.

Auckland Explorer buses on the Red Circle start from Ferry Building next to Queens Wharf, and stop at -

  • Bastion Point overlooking the Waitemata Harbour
  • Kelly Tarlton's Sea Life Aquarium
  • Parnell Rose Gardens, also known as Dove-Myer Robinson Park, where you can find the oldest manuka and the largest pohutukawa tree in the city
  • Holy Trinity Cathedral which has the largest span of stained glass in the southern hemisphere in the Great Window at the back of the Nave
  • Auckland Museum which showcases New Zealand’s cultural, natural and military history
  • Parnell Village – the city’s oldest suburb
  • Civic Theatre
  • SkyCity which is an entertainment avenue.
Buses depart daily between 9 am to 4 pm every 30 minutes in summer from October to April, and every 60 minutes between 10 am to 3 pm otherwise.
