The collection comprises historical artifacts spanning the period from the capture of Constantinopolis by the Ottomans in 1453 to World War II, focusing on the Greek Revolution and the subsequent establishment of the modern Greek state. There is a bronze equestrian statue of Theodoros Kolokotronis, leader of the Greek War of Independence, in front of the neoclassical building.
