Melbourne City Centre or the CBD refers to the area in which Melbourne was originally established in 1835, bound by Spencer Street to the west, Spring Street to the east, Grattan Street, Queen Victoria Market and La Trobe Street in the north, and Flinders Street to the south. The geometrically laid out Hoddle Grid in the centre is the commercial epicenter of the city, lined with high-rises and malls. It has a high density of attractions, some of which are the Flinders Street Station, Melbourne Aquarium, Crown Casino, Federation Square, National Gallery of Victoria, State Arts Centre of Victoria, State Library of Victoria, State Parliament of Victoria, Supreme Court of Victoria and Melbourne Town Hall.
