The only theme park designed and built under Walt Disney, Disneyland in Anaheim is the best known amusement park in the world. It lies 27 miles to the south-east of Los Angeles, and makes a great day trip not just for kids, but also for adults. Explore the magical world of fairytale castles, thrilling rides, and recreated cityscapes in the park that calls itself 'the happiest place on earth'.

Disneyland Park is spread over 85 acres, and has 8 themed lands -

  • Main Street USA recreates a typical Midwest town of the early 20th century, with a town square and vehicles from the turn-of-the-century such as a 914 mm gauge tramway with horse-drawn streetcars, a double-decker bus, fire engine, and an automobile. It also has the Main Street Cinema and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln show.
  • Adventureland takes visitors into the heart of a tropical jungle, with attractions such as Jungle Cruise, Indiana Jones Adventure, Tarzan's Treehouse, and Enchanted Tiki Room hidden amidst the lush vegetation. It combines state of the art technology with ancient tribal masks, conga drums, totem poles, and exotic animal statues.
  • New Orleans Square recreates 19th century New Orleans, and has the Pirates of the Caribbean dark ride, Haunted Mansion, Club 33, and Fantasmic!.
  • Critter Country is home to the popular Splash Mountain adventure ride, The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and Davy Crockett Explorer Canoes.
  • Frontierland is an ode to the pioneer days and American Old West of the 19th century, with a Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Mark Twain Riverboat, Tom Sawyer Island, and Sailing Ship Columbia.
  • Mickey's Toontown is based on cartoon worlds, featuring a Chip 'n Dale Treehouse, Donald Duck's Boat, Gadget's Go Coaster, Goofy's Playhouse, Mickey's House, Minnie's House, and Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin.
  • Fantasyland has the acclaimed Peter Pan's Flight and Sleeping Beauty Castle, along with other dreamy attractions such as Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Pixie Hollow, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Alice in Wonderland, and Mad Tea Party.
  • Tomorrowland is Disney's vision of a futuristic world, with attractions such as Astro Orbiter, Autopia, Star Tours-The Adventures Continue, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters, Space Mountain, Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple, Star Wars Launch Bay, and Star Wars: Path of the Jedi.
