The California Science Center is the largest interactive science museum on the West Coast, featuring hands-on exhibits, live aquatic animals, technical displays, and enthralling demonstrations. Among its array of space related exhibits are the Space Shuttle Endeavour in the Samuel Oschin Pavilion, Mercury-Redstone 2 capsule which carried Ham the first chimp in space, Gemini 11 capsule, the Apollo-Soyuz Test Project Command Module, and robotic planetary probes. Also on display are historic aircraft, exhibits about the solar system, expansive recreations of the earth's ecosystems, and plastinated specimen of human bodies. There are interactive exhibits which provide the shaky experience of an earthquake, and visitors can construct resilient buildings, race solar cars and sailing boats, design cars, and experiment with a wind tunnel. The IMAX theatre screens interesting educational videos.
