Tate Modern is an enormous art gallery converted from the former Bankside Power Station that exhibits contemporary and modern art from around the world dating post 1900, arranged thematically and chronologically. The most stunning aspect of the building, is the enormous Turbine Hall at the entrance, which plays host to a single piece of work commissioned for the space each year. With more than 60000 works of art rotated over time, the themes range from the 'Poetry and Dream' dedicated to Surrealism and 'Transformed Visions' of Impressionist Art to 'Energy and Process' displaying Arte Povera. Highlights include Picasso's The Three Dancers, Matisse's nudes and the vast Turner collection. There are free guided tours daily at different times for different themes.
