The first settlement of the Teutonic Order Knights in Rhineland, the Deutschherrenhaus houses the Ludwig Museum which showcases 20th century French art. It has one of the largest collections of Picasso’s in the world, as well as works by Warhal and Matisse. The grounds have the outdoor sculpture Le Pouce - The Thumb, by César Baldaccini.
