National Maritime Museum, Amsterdam

The National Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) reopened in late 2011 following major renovations.

The National Maritime Museum (Het Scheepvaartmuseum) reopened in late 2011 following major renovations. While it has some interesting items on display, they don't justify the ridiculously high ticket prices. The building's impressive-looking new architecture is not well suited to housing a busy museum as the narrow staircases and some exhibitions can become overcrowded.
