Rub shoulders with life-like wax models of your favorite celebrities and historical personalities at the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum Amsterdam. Housed in the Peek & Cloppenburg building on Dam Square, this popular attraction brings together over 130 famous people from all spheres of life from different eras, including the Dutch Golden Age. There are also animated figures, such as astronaut Wubbo Ockels in his Challenger space-suit, and a 5 metre tall Claas Janszoon, the largest animatronic figure in the world.

Celebrities represented here range from political leaders such as Barack Obama and Angela Merkel to Dutch royals, and teen heart-throb Justin Bieber. From the world of entertainment, music divas such as Madonna, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift stand alongside old Hollywood glamor icons Elizabeth Taylor and Marilyn Monroe, and newer ones such as George Clooney and Angelina Jolie. There is a room with Marvel Avengers where you can take selfies with your favorite superheroes.

Once you are done hobnobbing with the wax models, make your way to the top of the building to admire the stunning views of Dam Square.
