The Broken Chair is an iconic 12 metre high monumental sculpture of a giant wooden propped up on 3 legs, with the fourth leg broken off midway. Designed by Swiss sculptor Daniel Berset, it stands across the street from the Palais des Nations as a powerful symbol of the opposition to land mines and cluster bombs which have disabled millions around the globe.
