Dubai Old Town 3.0 rating

Dubai may be known today for its dizzying skyscrapers and glitzy malls, but to discover its real milieu you have to go to Old Dubai which is the heart and soul of the city. The Dubai Creek divides the city into 2 sections – the commercial Deira to the east, and the historic district of Bur Dubai which extends upto Jumeirah in the west. Bur Dubai is home to several historical and cultural attractions such as the Al Bastakhiya quarter, Grand Mosque, Heritage & Diving Villages, Dubai Museum in the Al Fahidi Fort, Palace of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed the Emir of Qatar, Iranian Mosque, Hindu Temple, and St Mary's Catholic Church. The area has many traditional souqs, including the textile souq near the Abra Dock. The Dubai Dophinarium is also in Bur Dubai.
